Square Enix has a new Final Fantasy game on the way for 3DS, but it's not quite the RPG we're used to. The new game is titled Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Yes, this is the Final Fantasy themed rhythm game we've all been waiting for.
Revealed in this week's Jump, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a "Theater Rhythm Action" game. The game has field scenes set in dungeons and towns, and battle scenes that resemble the side-view battles of older Final Fantasy games. However, everything is played like a rhythm game, where you tap the screen in accordance with prompts.
Needless to say, the game's music is pulled from past Final Fantasy games. Characters, including the likes of Lightning and Cloud, are also in the game, only they're shown in cute "chibi" style form, resembling the avatars from the mobile Kingdom Hearts game.
There seems to be somewhat of a story to the game. Jump says that the classic Final Fantasy characters are fighting to return light to the crystal.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is currently without a final release date.
Update 14:00 -- As Nutters pointed out in the comments below, this is likely the new game that Tetsuya Nomura was teasing for next week's Famitsu. Jump usually gets Square Enix info one week in advance of other publications, but Famitsu will usually have a lengthier report.

Αυτό τον καιρό παίζω FFIX,το δεύτερο αγαπημένο μου μετά το FFVII.

Τώρα είμαι στο δρόμο για τη Burmecia.
Ο Zidanne απλώς τα σπαει.

Υπαρχει εκει ενα boss στο Gizamaluke's Grotto που μου ειχε ΒΓΑΛΕΙ ΤΗΝ ΨΥΧΗ να το περασω. Ολα αυτα βεβαια πριν πολλα πολλα χρονια... Απλα φανταστικο το FF IX.

ΧΙΙΙ κ ΧΙΙΙ-2... ίσως και το ΧΙΙ, που άν και το έκραξαν πολλοί, μου άρεσε για άγνωστο λόγο. Πως να το πω... παλιά, όταν έπαιζα τα 7,8,9,10, είχαν ίμπακτ. Κολλούσες. Στα τελευταία το στόρυ με άφησε αδιάφορο, τη στιγμή που κατά τη γνώμη μου ήταν το selling point των ΦΦ. Βέβαια, είναι άποψη μου.. πχ με το ΧΙΙΙ-2 ασχολήθηκα ελάχιστα γιατί δε μου άρεσε. ~Αγαπημένο μου το VII οπότε οι συγκρίσεις μου δεν είναι αμιγώς αντικειμενικές... χεχεχε
