I talked about relations between knb and sku referring ony to the concept of witch that is related to sexuality and to the need to protect someone you/she love/s. Then again I emphasized the music and the artwork. I said that about the content I wasn't so excited... and I don't think that the movie promoted the idea that feminism has to do with the demon who turtured her, a kind of sadomasochism- nor gives the idea that women's souls like to be raped!?. IMO it gives the whole story not so much through Jean's eyes rather from the fallocratic's society's eyes. The demon has to do with the female sexuality that was "evil" back then. So Jean influenced from the society, at first doesn't want to succumb to her desires, but in the end she kinda finds "peace" with her other "evil" self. She accepts that part of her and that "liberates" her. I don't know if I'm wrong coz I have difficulties interpreting symbolisms... And I didn't search a lot, coz Revolutionary Girl Utena feeds me nth times more with whatever I need to feel woman. There were a lot of points that were...akyra, like the rape connected to her power, but,oh well, it can be symbolical...that a woman "raped" by the fallocracy found the strength to fight her "inner demons" and live her way... dunno. It was sth that leaves impressions in the end- just that... Sth irrelevant: I watched true tears and ok it left you with cliffhangers making you wanna watch it and visually was stunning, but I can't say that the story was wow...just like knb somehow-not exactly...
