HANGING (danki [単騎]) -- the tile completed the pair. 5. DOUBLE-PON (shanpon) -- the hand had two pairs, and the tile made one of them a tri. (AKA "None of the above.") Note that a hand may be readying to win in more than one way. For instance, a hand may have three melds and the tiles 5557 in one suit. Then it is a central win if the winning tile is a 6, but a hanging win if the winning tile is a 7. The readying score is calculated like this: 0 points -- two-sided; 2 points -- central; 2 points -- edge; 2 points -- hanging; 0 points -- double-tri. (Some books may give this points -- however, it is because they are including composition points.) A rule of thumb to remember this is to think of the 2 points only given if the ready tile was "unique". [B]But this is misleading because of hands that are ready to win in more than one of the five ways.[/B][/QUOTE]Εσύ σκέφτεσαι μόνο με το "rule of thumb", κι εκεί προκύπτει το πρόβλημα. Το παράδειγμα που δίνει είναι ιδανικό για να σου δώσω να καταλάβεις. Έστω ότι έχεις 5557 στο ίδιο suit. Αν σου έρθει 6, νικάς με central wait, αν σου έρθει 7 νικάς με hanging wait. Και στις δύο περιπτώσεις, σου αξίζουν 2 fu points. Δεν υπάρχει καμία λογική στο να πεις ότι επειδή παίζουν δύο διαφορετικά ενδεχόμενα για να νικήσεις, δεν αξίζεις fu points όποιο απ' τα δύο κι αν σου τύχει. Σημασία έχει, όπως λέει και στην πρώτη γραμμή, το τι κάνει το συγκεκριμένο tile για το hand... τι συμπληρώνει δηλαδή... και όχι το πόσα waits έχεις.
