Yep. Actually it was kind of cute.
If memory serves me right it went like this:
-Nora comes in and they have a general chit-chat with Horo.
-Lawrence meanwhile goes away and Horo asks Nora the trick to herding sheep.
-Nora is dumfounded by the question but after looking at Horo a bit understands the true meaning and thinks about it.
-She says "To have an open heart" in which Horo looks with awe.
-Horo adds happy now "Sheep think they are smart".
-Lawrence comes and asks what they are talking about.
-Horo answers with "women talk" in which Lawrence says "I see/I understand"
-At this point Horo and Nora laugh and Lawrence follows without knowing what exactly is the funny thing.
This actual part is one of the many allegories and word plays which Spice&Wolf has.
Nora is a shepherdess (rival of wolves) and a rival of "love" for Horo. Horo asks her how she is able to control sheep (make them come to her) and at the same time how she is able to control "sheep" (meaning men). Both of them are her “prey”.
Nora first understands the former part but after a while she gets the latter part too. Her answer ("to have an open heart") means to be able to accept the peculiarities of the sheep/men.
Horo is deeply moved by her answer mostly because it's not full of pride ("I'm the master of the sheep") but full of love.
Horo then says that sheep/men think that they are smart and this is the point where Lawrence joins.
He asks what's going on, at which point Nora feels embarrassed but Horo answers cunningly (as always) "women talk".
Lawrence answer ("I understand") comes to prove the "Sheep think they are smart" line and that's why both Nora and Horo laugh.
At this point it becomes obvious that Horo likes (and maybe loves) Lawrence and asks her "rival" how she was able to have such a good relationship with him. Nora pretty much says to her to be patient with him and accept his bad traits (be patient and humble, both are "god's traits").
The version in my signature is nothing that deep. I pretty much mean "in order to be with people, learn to be patient and love their peculiarities".
Sorry for the long answer. I hope I helped and didn't sound too arrogant. If you think we can discuss any other part I would love to.
Till then.
