Nao is a second grade student in junior high school, whose also the leader of the Digital Camera Club - which only consists of two members.
Her favorite place for taking pictures is the roof of the school building, where she prefers to photograph the sky and clouds only. One day, she's going to the roof as usual and finds a cat which is able to control the wind to fly. Nao is so surprised that she slips off of the roof....

There is also Miki, the best friend of Nao and the second member of the Digital Camera Club, Mr. Taiki, the one who taught the cat how to handle the wind, there's Ryoko, who holds some love towards Mr. Taiki, as well as Jun, who is going to help Nao and Miki finding the flying cat again and there's Yukio, the wife of Mr. Taiki’s dead brother.

In the hidden "village of the wind driver" - which is located in the suburbs of the metropolitan - the festival of the wind begins.

 

So, Windy Tales, μιας και που ότι βλέπω τώρα υπάρχει ήδη στο φόρουμ, ένα θέμα γι αυτή τη πολύ καλή σειρά.

Production IG στη παραγωγή με ένα ελαφρώς περίεργο animation που θυμίζει κάτι από Mindgame. Γενικά η σειρά είναι πολύ χαλάρη, με πολύ καλό ost ανάλογου ύφους που σε συνδιασμό με το όλο στύσιμο του "σύμπαντος" της σειράς προσφέρει ένα πάρα πολύ καλό σύνολο. Γενικά αρκετά ταξιδιάρικη και ίσως μια από τις καλύτερες σειρές του 2004. Κυρίως για όσους τους άρεσαν δουλειές του Abe, Mushishi, Kino No Tabi κλπ

Πως ειχα την εντυπωση οτι υπηρχε θεμα και για αυτην την σειρά στο anime.gr;

στο Bakabt γραφονται ωραια σχολια. Βεβαια για να εκτιμησεις τη σειρα πρεπει να εχεις τελειωσει το σχολειο. Καποια πραγματα αναγκαστηκα δεν μπορεις να τα καταλαβεις αλλιως.:

I feel compelled to comment that I find the animation one of the most attractive things about this show. You know, it's not like it's a "we can't draw, so we'll just play around" thing. (I mean, this is Production I.G.!) The use of the angular, low-contrast, line-heavy style is actually a deliberate choice, and it's a choice that's essential to the mood and the message of the series. Middle school is a time when the lines separating child from adult, self from society, and dreams ("I want to be a doctor!"\) from reality ("...but I hate blood"\) begin to lose their ability to divide things in the simple way of childhood. In <i>Windy Tales</i>' sketchy animation we see sharp, intrusive lines and hard, almost unatural angles; but these seemingly sharp distinctors do not serve to make the animation "simple"--in fact, they make it harder to tell what's what. In short, I think that the animation itself is one of the most brilliant metaphors in the series for the confusion that ensues when the simple morals of childhood become the complicated ethics of the adult world.

I loved episode 13. I may have mentioned before that one of the major themes in this series is that life, like the wind, is unpredictable, and often the things that *ought* to happen to make a good story just don't happen (for example, after that apology it seemed a sure bet that ..... would hook up with ......, but he ended up going for .....). Similarly, people's plans for their own lives often end up being misguided or impossible, and the final episode underscores that brilliantly by showing us the shelf of books that ..... is studying: they're not about photography, but economics! ...... doesn't end up with .....; ...... and ....... are not best friends forever; there is no climax that ties everything together and makes it all OK. It's just life.

And that's why I love the whole series: it truly is a "slice-of-life," in that it acknowledges that living has no real beginnings or endings and that any story is only a thin bit of a much larger loaf. The "beginning" of the series is in fact the continuation of.....and ...... story; the "ending" is the promise of more unexpected events and more living in...... story. Just as the wind has no beginning and no ending, life is without boundaries; we can "manipulate" it but we cannot control it. There is a place for Aristotelian stories that are plot-driven and perfectly shaped and in which everyone gets their just deserts; but "Windy Tales" shows that life as it is, without certainty or structure, is important in and of itself, without the shackles of peotic devices.

So of course episode 13 doesn't close the series--it leaves it wide, wide open for all the living that will happen after it. And that makes this a very special show

Πως ειχα την εντυπωση οτι υπηρχε θεμα και για αυτην την σειρά στο anime.gr;

Όχι απλά πάνω κάτω έχω γράψει τα ίδια και στο animeplanet που πάλι οι δυο μας ήμασταν και λέγαμε πόσο καλή σειρά είναι

Παιδια εγω αυτην την σειρα την ειδα,και απο τοτε μενω μακρια απ'τα Slice of Life,το animation δεν ξερω τι ηθελε να δειξει ο ποιητης με αυτο,αλλα ηταν πονος στα ματια,τα 24λεπτα επεισοδια της σειρας με κανανε απλως να νυσταζω,στην προτιμηση μου σε οσα Anime εχω δει την εχω τελευταια,οχι επειδη ειναι αχρηστη σειρα η κατι τετοιο,απλως εμενα προσωπικα δεν μαρεσε καθολου...

ξαναδες την σε 10 χρονια αφου ξεμπερδεψεις με τους ρυθμους του σχολειου, των σπουδων και του σπιτιου και τοτε θα την καταλαβεις καλυτερα.
