cause i had a certain conversation recently...
to my humble ears at least, as far as vocals go, Ruki owns Kyo (Dir en Grey) anytime of any day of any week, blindfolded and with his hands chained behind his back....

Ο Kyo έχει παράξενα φωνητικά. Ούτε μ'αρέσουν ούτε τ'αντιπαθώ.
Ο Ruki σε μερικά τραγούδια δίνει ρέστα και τα ανεβάζει ενώ σε άλλα είναι απεχθής. Ας μη ξεχνάμε και ότι έχει τα χειρότερα engrish EVER.

τα vocals που κανει τελευταια δεν ειναι του γουστου μου though :\ ..I like him when he's singing rather than squealing ;p

Ruki..meh..he is good most of the time αλλα σε πιο hard τραγουδια($ocial Riot,Discharge,MOB 163 BARS κτλπ) δεν μπορεις να πεις "οmg,τι φωνη" coz he's not singing
his vocals back in 2002-2003 are kinda weird too :\ and they took the most time to get used too...μερικα τραγουδια ακομα δε μπορω να τα ακουω πανω απο 1 φορα
αλλα οταν τραγουδαει stuff like miseinen,cassis,kare uta,calm envy,guren,D.L.N,baretta,ganges ni akai bara,taion,toguro,regret etc..I bow most of the time δηλαδη XDDD

Ας μη ξεχνάμε και ότι έχει τα χειρότερα engrish EVER.

Τhey all have sucky engrish >D I'm amused by Hyde's sucky engrish lately XDDD

that's mostly the case with me too... Kyo's vocals never really appealed to me.. in fact he's mainly the reason why i never was such a big dir en grey fan.. true, in some of the old songs Ruki sounds.... weird i guess αν και δε θα τον ελεγα ποτε και απεχθη.... τωρα μεταξυ μας πανω κατω ολη η j-rock σκηνη εχει sucky engrish... ^^; Kyo himself is no better... μεχρι στιγμης (εγω προσωπικα) μονο 2 εχω πετυχει που τα engrish τους ειναι πιο....english(ΧD) Takanori Nishikawa in Abingdon Boys School and Takeshi Hosomi in Ellegarden (who actually sounds almost american i'd say)... του Ruki ειδικα ειναι λιγο χαριτωμενα imho... they're so awful they end up being cute and hilarious.. and if we take into account that his english is zero (or so i've heard) and he writes the english parts with translating software, maybe we should praise the guy for doing such neat work! :333

i'm not saying that Kyo is bad... just that Ruki is millions better! XD
Ruki has touched and thrilled me with his performances the hell a lot of times whereas Kyo has failed triumphantly (always speaking in a personal level)... but that's just me and my wacky taste i guess... i even like Ruki's "dirtier" (not sure i can call them grunts, definitely not brutals) in GazettE's harder songs.. sure not "wow", "omg", "top" etc but pretty decent imo... ^^ they have a flow at least... Kyo's are like white noise (and that is said by someone who likes blackmetal and its "grim" -a.k.a. shitty- productions)... and let's face it back in 2002-03 the whole band was kinda weird (Aoi's blond hair in "Doro Darake no Seishun" still haunts my worst nightmares:terror2:)...


after all everything is a matter of personal taste right??

that performance always brings shivers down my spine... it's so amazing and intense it's almost scary... the only thing you can do is sit back and let it swallow you...:nod::nod:
