New Evangelion movie project announced

"New Evangelion Theatrical Version" will be a 4-part project.

According to previous leaks, it was thought that the new project consisted of 3 summary movies of the TV series and 1 new movie, but now it turns out that all 4 movies will be new productions. Also, the movies are neither sequels nor remakes. We had previously thought that those leaks were faked, but apparently there really are going to be 4 new movies...

Έιναι στο pre-production ακόμα....

Για το new project τώρα, είναι γνωστό πως ο Anno επέστρεψε και πως η Gainax έχει βάλει αγγελία (μέσω θυγατρικής) για προσληψη animators και scripters....τώρα το τι ετοιμάζεται και πως, δεν μπορεί να εξακριβωθεί αυτή την στιγμή. Μόνο random ικασίες υπάρχουν...ίδωμεν... :happy2:

Dante80, αυτές οι φήμες υπήρχαν μέχρι πρότινος (αρχές Αυγούστου) και εκτός από την αγγελία που είχε βάλει ο Anno, υπήρχαν φήμες για το ότι θα βγούν 4 νέες ταινίες, οι 3 recaps και 1 καινούργια. Όμως, σύμφωνα με το moonphase που είναι από τις μεγαλύτερες και πιο αξιόπιστες ιαπωνικές πηγές, το Newtype JP έγραψε ότι τελικά θα υπάρχουν 4 νέες τελικά ταινίες, που δε θα είναι ούτε sequels ούτε remakes και θα εξελίσσονται και οι 4 στο ίδιο storyline. OK, μπορεί να μην είναι 100% σίγουρο, αλλά ένα 99% το έχει

Απλά λέω πως ακόμα είμαστε σε διευκρινηστικό στάδιο...απο official lips δεν υπαρχει τπτ ακόμα (και αν κρινω και απο το στυλ του anno το θεωρώ λογικό τα μάλα)...μέχρι να δωθεί κάποιο release notification, απλά για ικασίες θα μιλάμε...είναι 100% σίγουρο πως κάτι παίζεται...απλά δεν έχει αποσαφηνιστεί το "τι" ακριβώς ακόμα...

9-6-06 (6:46PM EDT)---- Confirmed: "Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban" Details
Apparent scans from the October, 2006 issue of the Japanese edition of Newtype Magazine (not officially due out on shelves until this wekeend) have appeared online, backing up almost word for word the information reported below. Images Copyright © Kadokawashoten 2006 / © GAINAX - Khara / Project Eva The title for the new film series is "Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban", it will consist of 4 parts (First volume, Second part, Latter part and Final story) with the first part arriving in Japanese theaters in early summer, 2007. Staff include General Supervisor: Hideaki Anno, Director: Tsurumaki Kazuya , Character Design: Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Mecha Design: Ikuto Yamashita, Animation Production: Khara (Color) Studio. The scenario of the 1st part will be written by Hideaki Anno with storyboard by Shinji Higuchi. Key points of an interview in the magazine with Toshimichi Ohtsuki of King Records have also been circulating. According to that information:
-The content is quite different though the time base of the story is the same as the original TV series.
- It will be a remake, however, it is not a re-creation but a "new work".
- The approach will be different than what Tomino-san did with the Gundam Z New Translation films, there will apparantly be a large amount of new material.
- Even if the TV series has not be seen, the viewer will be able to enjoy it. Though the content becomes easy, it is not redundant to those already familiar with the series.
- The technique that purposely scatters difficult words and phrases will not be used any longer.
- As an antithesis to current animation industry segments, it is an attitude on the production side to pull the act in the age that started from Eva.
