raiding δεν έκανα στο tbc σχεδόν καθόλου, μέχρι SSC μόνο και εντελώς casually, πιστεύω πως το expansion ήταν μάπα και το επόμενο θα φέρει το τέλος του WoW, πριν το tbc είμασταν Naxx <R O N I N> στον Ragnaros το guild, 4 horsemen down προλάβαμε, αν και σταματήσαμε το progress μετά από την ανακοίνωση της ημερομηνίας του xpack.

  • Brewfest has begun and members of the Horde and Alliance can enjoy a multitude of activities, quests, items, and even Ram Racing. As Brewfest is about beer and food, revelers can sample the best beverages available in the world.
  • Hallow’s End: Observed by both the Horde and the Alliance, Hallow's End is the celebration of the break between the Forsaken and the Scourge. Adventurers can speak to innkeepers to get silly masks to wear during their adventures, and much more. This is just one way to celebrate Hallow's End.
  • New Holiday World Event: The Headless Horseman has been seen terrorizing local villages.
World Environment
  • Added a new graveyard to the Southern Barrens.
  • Added a new graveyard to the Western Plaguelands.
  • Added a new graveyard to the Alterac Mountains.
  • Added a new graveyard to the Searing Gorge.
  • Added a new graveyard to the Badlands.
  • Added two new graveyards to Tanaris.
  • Added two new graveyards to Winterspring.

This patch includes two seasonal events for players to enjoy, Brewfest and Hallow’s End.

Celebrated by both the Horde and the Alliance, the Brewfest is a time to enjoy the fermented fruits of the harvest: pretzels, cheese, and booze! The competing breweries Thunderbrew, Barleybrew, and the Ogres, all come together outside of all the major cities in a bid to outdo each other with their special ales, meads, and beers.

Revelers are working hard today to set up the booths and games in anticipation of the start of Brewfest tomorrow, October 3. The smell of the first fires are starting to waft through the air and inspire many an anticipating stomach to growl.

Observed by both the Horde and the Alliance, Hallow's End is the celebration of the break between the Forsaken and the Scourge. Adventurers can speak to innkeepers to get silly masks to wear during their adventures, and much more. This is just one way to celebrate Hallow's End. Read below for more things to do during spooky season on Azeroth!
Join in the Hallow’s End festivities starting on October 18, and you can find yourself face to pumpkin with the Headless Horseman.

Brewfest guide (October 3 - October 16) (Alliance/Horde perspective)
Now this is ram racing ... Almost (Ram Tutorial)
The first quest you will get is a tutorial on how to use a racing ram. You will need ram racing reins (from the apprentice next to the quest giver) to speed up with your mount, you can consider your speed like an energy bar that you fill everytime you use the reins. Basically, everytime you switch to trot, using the reins 4 times will get you to the "max" level of canter, using it a 5th time will change it to a galop, and smashing the button like mad will eventually exhaust your mount (when your Ram Fatigue debuff reaches 100) and get you stuck in place for 15 seconds. You can also pass near apples buckets to remove the ram fatigue debuff, there is one next to the signs after the bridge and another one behind the guy you need to see in Kharanos.

Daily Quest - There and Back Again
Reward : 10 tickets the first time, then 2 tickets for each keg delivered. (You can only do it once a day and you still have the 4 minutes limit, however you will get extra time everytime you deliver a keg and you can get 20~25 tickets each day with a decent route)
You need to get a keg from Flynn Firebrew in Kharanos (standing on a hill on the right of the road, next to the armory)/Bok Dropcertain (just follow the road to Razor Hills). Bring it back to the quest giver and do this 3 times, you can use the apples buckets to make it faster, but you can do without it.

You have to go to 4 flags (see screenshot) in the capital with your brewfest mount and pass near the 4 flags in the locations given in your quest log. Your character will automatically say something.

Catch the Wild Wolpertinger!
Reward : [Wolpertinger's Tankard]

Use: Right Click to summon and dismiss your invisible wolpertinger from or to the one-liter ale tankard it lives in.(Screenshot, This pet is actually invisible to other players)
The point here is to ... drink, drink, and drink again. Buy wine from the wine vendor (or anything else) and drink until you feel completely smashed. (The emotes will appear in this order : You feel tipsy > You feel drunk > You feel completely smashed). When you're smashed, you will be able to see the Wolpertinger for about 10 seconds, then they will disappear and you will have to drink again to make them reappear. (This is how they look like when you're very drunk (or like this if you don't have full screen glow activated)

Pink Elekks on Parade (Same quest giver as "Catch the Wild Wolpertinger!" but I can't get it on all characters, maybe some strange prereqs ?)
Reward : 40 Tickets
Visit the beer gardens in Stormwind, Darnassus, the Exodar/Silvermoon, Thunder Bluff, Undercity (they're small camp at the entrance of each city, see example) and zap 3 Elekks at each location. You have to be drunk as well for this quest.

Seek the Saboteurs
Every hour, Dark Iron dwarves will attack the brewfest camp (Screenshot #1, Screenshot #2, Screenshot #3), during the attack you can use Complimentary Brewfest Sampler in your inventory to throw them at the attackers, Belbi Quickswitch will give you a Brewfest Prize Ticket for each dwarf you knock down.
After the attack, you will be able to get a quest from plans on the ground. This quest requires you to go in Blackrock Depths (Grim Guzzler tavern) to find a guy. He roams in the room, behind the barrels most of the time, and will hide behind the plans seller (see screenshot) when you come too close. Just talk to him and you will get the [Dark Iron Tankard]

The Headless Horseman information
He's not on live servers yet, but people will ask about it anyway. The Headless Horseman is a boss found in Scarlet Monastery's Graveyard during Hallow's end event. (October 18 - November 1) You can easily take him down with a 5 man group (probably 3 or 4 with a decent gear) and chances are very high that you will get some epix. Among the loots you will find broom mounts, a rare and epic version of each mount, 60% and 100%/270% speed, non-flying and flying. (A video of the 260% flying broo mount is available, streaming here and high quality version download here).

Συμφωνω... Κι εγω τον lock μου με τα 1000 ζορια τον πηγα 69 οπου και εμεινε, οσο καλα κ αν παει το παλιο μου guild τωρα... Ο μονος λογος να παιξω TBC ειναι τα Blood Elves και οι καινουριες περιοχες τους (τα outlands δεν μου αρεσαν καθολου...) αλλα και παλι μεχρι τα 60 θα επαιζα...

Συμφωνω... Κι εγω τον lock μου με τα 1000 ζορια τον πηγα 69 οπου και εμεινε, οσο καλα κ αν παει το παλιο μου guild τωρα... Ο μονος λογος να παιξω TBC ειναι τα Blood Elves και οι καινουριες περιοχες τους (τα outlands δεν μου αρεσαν καθολου...) αλλα και παλι μεχρι τα 60 θα επαιζα...


Βασικά εγώ ανέβασα μια cute Shaman Draenei μέχρι το 50 κάπου και ένα Blood Elf και προτίμησα την περιοχή των Draenei κατά πολύ, εκτός του ότι οι Blood Elf ήταν κάπως emo :P

Τα Outland δεν ήταν και χάλια, οι παλιές περιοχές μετά από τόσα χρόνια που παίζω (από όταν άνοιξε ο Ragnaros, Μάιος 2005) να είναι ολόιδιες και να μην έχουν προσθέσει ούτε ένα quest είναι απαράδεκτο...

Ένα πράγμα που με ξενέρωσε στο TBC είναι ότι τα γραφικά των αντικειμένων είναι ίδια με άλλα χρώματα. Δηλαδή έλεος. Ευτυχώς που ύπηρχαν και τα Tier και βλέπαμε κάτι διαφορετικό. Τουλάχιστον στα όπλα κάνανε λίγο καλύτερη δουλειά.

Εγω θεωρουσα οτι ειχε να φορτωσει παρισσοτερο περιβαλλον λογω του οτι μπορουσες να κινηθεις και στον αερα πια...


Nope. Τα textures ήταν καλύτερης ποιότητας γενικά, παντού στο expansion και οι περιοχές πολύ πιο ανοιχτές οπότε είχες περισσότερα πράγματα που δεν αποκοβόντουσαν κατά την φάση της αποκοπής πολυγώνων.

As a continuing part of our improvements, we will be implementing the following changes in the next patch.

Strategy can be an important element of any battleground. We want to emphasize this in Alterac Valley more and give players additional meaning to both defending and attacking. To push the strategic element of the battleground to the next level we have changed how players maintain their reinforcements or deprive the other team of theirs.

Each team will have a starting reinforcement count. Reinforcements can be lost in significant amounts if a tower is destroyed or if Captain Galvangar or Belinda Stonehearth is killed. For each team member death, an additional reinforcement will be lost. On the death of General Drek’Thar or Vanndar Stormpike, all reinforcements are lost and the team is defeated. At any point in time, if a team is reduced to zero reinforcements, the opposing team will win the battle. Defending your own teammates, towers, and key NPCs will be an important aspect of maintaining team resources and achieving victory in Alterac Valley.

Warmasters can be the boon or the bane of any team. They are an important element for the defense of your general or the defeat of the opposing general. Warlords and their general will be more closely linked in the next patch. Pulling one is a guarantee the other will come as well. Each team begins with four Warmasters. Destroying a tower will eliminate the associated Warmaster. Unlike the current game play, however, destroying the enemy tower will not add a Warmaster to your own side.

We will be changing the pace of the battle slightly with a reduction in the time needed to control a tower or graveyard. Where it currently takes five minutes to gain control, the time will be reduced to four minutes. The honor for capturing a tower will also be increased.

Graveyards can be an important resource for getting your teammates back into the battle more quickly. Currently, players can sometimes be sent to their starting tunnels far from the battlefront. This can often be an inconvenient location to respawn and more out of the way from the action than we would like, to correct this, players will instead respawn at a team-controlled graveyard. Should the team not have a graveyard under their control, they will respawn in the starting tunnel.

Players will only be awarded bonus honor during the battle for destroying enemy towers and slaying the enemy Captain. Once the battle is concluded, bonus honor will be awarded for intact towers, a surviving Captain, and for victory in battle. The bonus honor awarded should be similar to previous totals, but will reward players for taking more active roles in Alterac Valley toward defending or attacking key locations and NPCs.

Lastly, we are changing NPC interactions within Alterac Valley. We have reduced the number of elite NPCs in Stormpike and Frostwolf holds as well as sent all Commanders and Lieutenants out of Alterac Valley. They are currently in search of other battle opportunities. This should reduce the amount of NPCs that players will have to fight and place more focus on PvP combat over key locations on the map.

Strategy is the name of the game in Alterac Valley, and these changes will bring out the need for more teamwork and coordination from both the Horde and the Alliance as they vie for domination of this battleground

  • (5) A new caster meta gem will be added, maybe similar to the Relentless Earthstorm Diamond (but with caster stats). (Source)
  • (5) The 33% spell damage bonus on +healing affects enchants, gems, and all the other items, however it doesn't include temporary buffs, some BC leveling greens with "of the..." stats, and some Zul'Gurub items. (Source)
  • (4) Escape Artist has now a 1:45 minutes cooldown.
  • (4) All Disarm immunity effects in the game were changed to 50% disarm duration reduction (non stacking).
  • (3) Auction's duration have been changed to 12, 24 or 48 hours. Also deposit prices for all duration will be the same.
  • (3) You can now ctrl+click recipes to get a preview of the crafted item in the dressing room.
  • (3) All items of the auction house will be sorted server side, basically it means that when you'll try to sort a particular item by price, it will sort it through all page, not only the current one.
  • Healing Reduction effects now affect all Drain spells and abilities (i.e. Mortal Strike will affect Drain Life) (Source)
  • Level 20-60 Quest EXP has been increased, while EXP to Level has been decreased (Source)
  • Guild Banks are being added to the game. (Source)
  • New relics are added to support all talent trees in patch 2.3 for Shaman, Paladins and Druids. Most of the arena-system existing Relics have been renamed to create a more consistent naming convention (Source)
  • +Healing bonus will give 33% of spell damage as well (1500 Healing bonus will give you 500 Spell damage) (Source)

Raids & Dungeons
  • (3) New daily quests are available in the Lower City for 5 man heroic and non-heroic dungeons (Once at a time, a bit like battlegroundw weekends, each day you will get quests for a different dungeons). The following non-heroic dungeons are concerned : Shattered Halls, Steamvault, Shadow Labyrinth, Black Morass, Botanica, Mechanar, and Arcatraz. All dungeons will get quests in Heroic mode. If you're getting the non-heroic and the heroic quest on the same day for the same dungeon, you can complete both by running it in heroic mode once. Non heroic quests will reward you with a Ethereum Prison Key (various reputation), gold, and reputation with the Consortium. Heroic quests will give you 2 Badges of Justice, gold, and reputation with the Consortium.
  • (2) Mobs inside Sethekk Halls will now continue to award Lower City reputation all the way into Exalted. Previously they stopped giving reputation in non-heroic mode just before players hit revered.
  • (2) The number of creatures that must be killed in the Karazhan Servants Quarters area before a miniboss spawns has been reduced.
  • New Title - Champion of the Naaru: Awarded to those who complete the Tempest Keep attunement quest at level 70. (Won't be available anymore at lvl 80) (Source)
  • Heroic Badges drop from Zul'aman and Karazhan bosses.
  • The amount of items available from the Heroic Badges vendor has been considerably increased.

  • Zul'Aman will be a 10-person raid zone
  • Zul'Aman will be on a quicker reset than 7 days (some might call this "casual")
  • Zul'Aman will be MORE difficult than Karazhan and drop better loot (some might call this hardcore)
  • Zul'Aman will feature 6 bosses and it's our goal that you can kill them all in one night -- perhaps 2-3 hour clear times (some might call this casual)
  • Zul'Aman will not have a key requirement. Nor will it have an attunement quest\ (some might call this casual)
  • Zul'Aman will have a VERY challenging timed quest for those who choose to participate in it. This *will be* hardcore and will be very rewarding. Players do not have to engage in the timed run (very similar to the Baron run in Stratholme)
  • We're tuning the first boss in Zul'Aman to require less raid coordination than some other raid bosses. He will still hit very hard so you'll need to be geared properly but it won't take 15 minutes to explain the fight. It will be a simple yet challenging fight. The other boss fights get more complex and challenging from there. If players want a basis of comparison, imagine the tuning of ZA started around Nightbane/Prince difficulty and ramped up from there.

Alterac Valley
  • (5) Each team will have a starting reinforcement count. Reinforcements can be lost in significant amounts if a tower is destroyed or if Captain Galvangar or Belinda Stonehearth is killed. For each team member death, an additional reinforcement will be lost. On the death of General Drek’Thar or Vanndar Stormpike, all reinforcements are lost and the team is defeated. At any point in time, if a team is reduced to zero reinforcements, the opposing team will win the battle. Defending your own teammates, towers, and key NPCs will be an important aspect of maintaining team resources and achieving victory in Alterac Valley.
  • (5) Warlords and their general will be more closely linked in the next patch. Pulling one is a guarantee the other will come as well. Each team begins with four Warmasters. Destroying a tower will eliminate the associated Warmaster. Unlike the current game play, however, destroying the enemy tower will not add a Warmaster to your own side.
  • (5) We will be changing the pace of the battle slightly with a reduction in the time needed to control a tower or graveyard. Where it currently takes five minutes to gain control, the time will be reduced to four minutes. The honor for capturing a tower will also be increased.
  • (5) Currently, players can sometimes be sent to their starting tunnels far from the battlefront. This can often be an inconvenient location to respawn and more out of the way from the action than we would like, to correct this, players will instead respawn at a team-controlled graveyard. Should the team not have a graveyard under their control, they will respawn in the starting tunnel.
  • (5) Players will only be awarded bonus honor during the battle for destroying enemy towers and slaying the enemy Captain. Once the battle is concluded, bonus honor will be awarded for intact towers, a surviving Captain, and for victory in battle. The bonus honor awarded should be similar to previous totals, but will reward players for taking more active roles in Alterac Valley toward defending or attacking key locations and NPCs.
  • (5) We have reduced the number of elite NPCs in Stormpike and Frostwolf holds as well as sent all Commanders and Lieutenants out of Alterac Valley.

Arena Season 3
  • (5) Season 3 weapons will have new arts, but no new models, they will be recolored raid weapons. (Source)

  • Ruthlessness won't be triggered by Deadly Throw anymore, and Ruthlessness will be changed to only affect melee finishing moves as a whole. (Source)
  • Blind no longer requires a reagent, is changed to a physical attack, will share the same diminish category as cyclone, and will diminish in PvE as well as PvP. (Source)
  • Shadowstep can be used at any time (even when you're not stealthed). After the use of Shadowstep threat caused by the next Ambush, Garrote, or Backstab will be reduced by 50%. The cooldown will be increased to 40 seconds. (Source)
  • Dirty Deeds increases the damage of special attacks by 10%/20% against targets that are below 35% health in addition to its current effect. (Source)

Hunters
  • (2) Trueshot Aura (Marksmanship) no longer costs mana to cast and will last until cancelled.

As many of you already know we've been working on changes designed to improve various aspects of leveling for those making their way to level 60. These improvements, available in patch 2.3 will come in many forms and should significantly contribute to a more fluid and enjoyable leveling experience .

The first notable change was to simply reduce the amount of experience needed each level by approximately 15% between levels 20 and 60. Please note that when the patch is released, characters affected by this change will remain at their current level percentage. For example, if a character had exactly 50% of the current level's total experience before this change went into effect, the character would still have exactly 50% of the current level's total experience; only now fewer points would be needed to level.

Questing plays a very large role in World of Warcraft, especially while leveling and we felt that improvements to this front were necessary as well. Experience gained for completing quests (on average) between levels 30 and 60 is being increased. The increase becomes more substantial as you make your way towards 60. Additionally, many outdoor elite mobs will become non-elites, making many quests which were previously too difficult or required a group much easier and offer the same rewards (in some cases better!). A good example of this change would be Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands, which will become a solo friendly environment when patch 2.3 goes live.

We've also added approximately 60 new quests in Dustwallow Marsh. This should help players who find themselves lacking quests in the 30-40 range. The Steamwheedle Cartel is building the new town of Mudsprocket in south-west Dustwallow Marsh, so you'll have to wait until construction is complete to learn more about these changes.

We're making other improvements to pre-bc leveling dungeons that players will likely find most agreeable. The level range for most every dungeon is being adjusted so that there is a much smaller range between the level of mobs found early in the dungeon to those found towards the end. For example, Shadowfang Keep is currently designed for levels 18-25 which means that right now, players who are towards the bottom of that range (18) will find it nearly impossible to complete the dungeon, while players towards the top of the range (25) will find most of the dungeon trivial. Using our new model (similar to what you'll notice with Burning Crusade leveling dungeons), Shadowfang Keep is being retuned for levels 18-21.

We also want to make running a leveling up dungeon more worth while. In addition to increasing quest experience for dungeon quests, we're also upgrading all pre-bc dungeon boss drops to blue quality items. Some examples are listed below:

Robe of Evocation old: +3 Stamina, + 4 Intelligence
Robe of Evocation new: +4 Stamina, +5 Intelligence, and +5 Spell Critical Strike Rating

As you can see there is much in-store for the next major content patch, particularly a number of changes designed to benefit players who are leveling a character. Zul'aman previewWhen you enter the instance, you can start an event by talking to a NPC called "Harisson John". A 20 minutes countdown will start, the first boss will yell ... guess what ? You've got 20 minutes to kill him.

Kill order (If you're not doing the event, you don't have to kill them in this order)
1. Nalorakk (Bear god), 2. Akil'zon (Eagle god), 3. Jan'alai (Dragonhawk god), 4. Halazzi (Lynx god), 5. Malacrass (Big warlock troll), 6. Zul'jin (Bad guy)

Best case
If you kill the boss in time, you will free a prisonner and get an epic loot as a reward. (The prisoner will open a chest or some kind of other container, a bit like Majordomo).
Once the boss is killed, you get 20 more minutes to kill the next one, and 20 more minutes after the 2nd kill, etc ...

Worst case
If you wipe on a boss, you can't try it again before the end of the timer, it won't respawn.
Also, if you fail the event at some point, you won't get the 20 minutes countdown back after the kill. If you couldn't kill the first boss in time, you won't get any of the "bonus" loot for the following bosses.
