Οι SNSD είναι ένα εννεαμελές γυναικείο ποπ γκρουπ από την Κορέα που δημιουργήθηκε το 2007. Αδιαμφισβήτητα είναι το κυρίαρχο γυναικείο γκρουπ στην Κορέα με πολλούς fans αλλά και εξίσου πολλούς haters.
Αυτό το καλοκαίρι εισέβαλαν στην Ιαπωνία με πολύ καλό αποτέλεσμα ως τώρα. Η πρώτη τους συναυλία επαναλήφθηκε τρεις φορές για να καλύψει την ζήτηση, ενώ το πρώτο τους single – η ιαπωνική εκδοχή του Genie, σκαρφάλωσε στο #4 των weekly Orikon charts με 48,000 πωλησεις. Είναι το πιο επιτυχημένο ντεμπούτο αλλοδαπού γυναικείου συγκροτήματος στην Ιαπωνία.
Διαφέρουν αρκετά από τα ανάλογα ιαπωνικά γκρουπ σε όλους τους τομείς. Οι κυριότερες διαφορές είναι στο image και την μουσική τους. Η δυτική επιρροή είναι εμφανής, με αποτέλεσμα ότι οι SNSD είναι πιο εύκολο να αγαπηθούν από το δυτικό κοινό αφού λείπει η εκκεντρικότητα και όλες οι WTF στιγμές που θα βρει κανείς σε αφθονία στα ιαπωνικά idol groups. Ενώ οι Ιάπωνες εστιάζονται στο kawaii girl from next door ιματζ (άσχετα αν ξέρει να τραγουδήσει ή όχι), οι Κορεάτες κυνηγούν την τελειότητα σε χορογραφίες, φωνητικά, κτλ. Αυτό ίσως κάνει τις SNSD λίγο βαρετές και πλαστικές σε σχέση με τα ιαπωνικά idols, αλλά σίγουρα το τελικό προίον είναι σαφώς ανώτερο από oτι έχει να προσφέρει η ανάλογη αγγλοσαξονική ποπ σκηνή.

She even posted on Soshified (SNSD international Forum) a few times. Known for her eye smiles and is considered SNSD's manager since she cares for the group's image the most.
